10 Wrestlers Triple H Will Make Champion
1. Cody Rhodes
In AEW, Cody worked every fan that was hungry for more drama about his split from WWE by repeatedly making references to the company. Famously, at Double or Nothing 2019, Rhodes took a sledgehammer to a throne that was very clearly designed around Triple H’s famous cross logo.
Knowing Paul Levesque, he probably loved it. After all, wrestling is all about stirring the pot and blurring the line between story and reality. In truth, Cody has stated multiple times that his favourite wrestler growing up was the now head of WWE’s creative. Trips probably loves that even more.
Triple H is known amongst fans for healing old wounds, bringing in long time absent WWE superstars who had bad blood with the company like Bruno Sammartino and Ultimate Warrior. Clearly a “water under the bridge” guy, as tired as the “best for business” phrase may be; Hunter must know that treating Cody right promotes an important image for the future of WWE.
“Hey, AEW stars. If you’re not happy, I’ll treat you right.”
Cody is destined to finally get the world title he’s sought after for so long which will be a wonderful moment for the American Nightmare… but also could do wonders for the company in the eyes of the wider industry.
