10 Wrestlers We're Most Thankful For In 2017

8. Rusev

No WWE Superstar has been as grossly misused as Rusev in 2017. 'The Bulgarian Brute' is as good as all but the company's top-tier athletes between the ropes, and his charisma is off the charts yet he's spent most of the year playing jobber to the stars.

Randy Orton, Big Show, John Cena: they've all had their way with him over the past 12 months. He's a main event-level talent stuck in a tedious lower-midcard role, and there's little chance this'll change anytime soon. Regardless, Rusev remains one of the most consistently enjoyable performers in the entire company. No matter how many lemons he's handed, the Bulgarian always produces a crisp glass of lemonade as he continually makes the most of the endless piles of s*** thrown at him by WWE's creative team.

His charm is undeniable. No matter what he's doing, Rusev's always able to conjure a laugh or two from the audience, and this extends to social media, where he exercises an impressive troll game. It's impossible not to love the former United States Champion at the moment. May we be eternally thankful for him and his undying commitment to the banter.
