10 Wrestlers Who Absolutely Love Moments You Hate

Sticking with the often wacky and outlandish developments routinely trotted out under the Performance Center's roof in the thick of lockdown WWE TV, arguably the most polarising bout of that 2020 period of Sports Entertainment madness - and that is saying something - is one that Seth Rollins in particular actually classes as something of a success in hindsight.

Speaking on the topic of his hugely divisive Eye For An Eye showdown with Rey Mysterio at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules on The Gorilla Position podcast (via WrestlingNews.co), the former WWE Champion would notably admit to likely agreeing with hardcore fans who just wanted to see the two wrestle if he was 19 years old and taking in the gimmicky showing, but would also explain:

"We gave them a great wrestling match and gave the casual viewer a reason to go, what the hell are they doing over there? I loved it. I thought it was great. I was really happy with it."

Sure, the sight of a fake rubber eye popping out of Mysterio's mask may not have been everyone's cup of tea. But the two set out to make headlines with their one-take wonder and ended up on TMZ.

Job well done?
