10 Wrestlers Who Altered Their Body For Their Gimmick

After the 'Avalanche' gimmick was buried by WWE's legal team - they argued all natural disasters were basically the same - John 'Earthquake' Tenta was repackaged as the fiercely fishy The Shark at the tail end of 1995.

Temporarily forgetting precisely who he was working for, Tenta, expecting a long run under the guise, had his distinctive Louisiana State University tiger tattoo smeared over with something more selachian. It looked a bit of a mess, and even worse, The Shark had sank by the following June. His new name? Plain ol' John Tenta. He didn't get himself tattooed over the shark.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
