10 Wrestlers Who Altered Their Body For Their Gimmick

6. Buff Bagwell (Legs)

Marcus Bagwell really wanted to skip leg day back in 1995, when, hoping to advance beyond the one-bar Stars and Stripes tag team, he made the extreme decision to undergo calf augmentation surgery. That's right: 'Buff' had implants spliced into his legs to make them look more muscly.

It's as icky as it sounds; within just a few weeks, Bagwell's immune system rejected the bogus gastrocnemius. As the circulation to his legs became restricted, doctors urgently excised the implants lest he lose both of his limbs. He subsequently missed several weeks of action - not exactly the career boost he was hoping for.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
