10 Wrestlers Who Are In Da Wrong Company

3. Malakai Black

The House Of Black's successes and failures will ultimately be Malakai Black's AEW legacy, not least because wins and losses have been quite the controversial point of conversation for the former Trios Champion.

At various points as good as gone from the organisation per reports that he'd later fiercely rebuke, the (questionable, never-confirmed) facts have always interfered too much with the fiction to allow his run to breathe. Despite a strong start opposite Cody Rhodes in 2021, it's become more and more obvious that a Triple H-led WWE might be the better arena for Black to once again attempt to realise whatever exactly his full potential is. As part of his "House", or once again flying solo.

The market leader's traditionally larger-than-life production values used effectively (as opposed to, for example, the creaking palette lifer he rose up on between 2019 and 2020) would allow Black's occult-inspired character to thrive, providing a backdrop for his macabre and compelling style that is at very least on par with his current presentation in AEW. Booked consistently or within the fairly robust narrative ecosystem currently in place on Raw and SmackDown, he'd likely be the latest former Black-and-Gold favourite to get more than a fighting chance.
