10 Wrestlers Who Are Too Crazy For Their Own Good
9. Kota Ibushi
Kota Ibushi might not have made his name in deathmatches or by being put through flaming tables, but there’s no denying that the 'Golden Star' has a touch of crazy in his blood. At a time when the wrestling world was hoping he’d tie himself down to WWE or New Japan, he was more interested in going to DDT where he could shoot fireworks at people and moonsault off roller coasters.
If you’ve never watched DDT, then you might be scratching your head right about now. The Japanese promotion is as likely to have their matches take place on a train or in the local woods as they are in the ring, and it opens up a world of possibilities for someone with Ibushi's imagination. It takes a strange mind to put toilets and piledrivers together.
With Ibushi having returned to New Japan, you might think his opportunities for insanity were drying up. Yet, his G1 performance proved that wrong. Ibushi seemed determined to take the biggest bumps of the tournament, and you have to worry for his poor neck. Kota Ibushi is proof that you don’t need to be hardcore to have a couple of screws loose.
