10 Wrestlers Who Are Too Crazy For Their Own Good
7. Matt Tremont
One look at Matt Tremont tells you that this isn’t a man you want to mess with. He’s a former CZW World Champion, won their Tournament of Death in 2016, and also won IWA Mid-South’s King of the Deathmatch in 2014 and 2015. On top of that, he’s picked up victories in the nicely named Masters of Pain and Carnage Cup 9. He lives deathmatch wrestling.
And while doing so, Tremont has made a reputation as a fantastic deathmatch wrestler. He is someone who you can tell genuinely loves that style. It was him who wrestled Atsushi Onita when he toured the US, and while that match descended into a bit of a farce, he’ll be heading out to Japan to compete in the rematch.
Sadly, a love for it doesn’t change how insane it is. When Tremont competed in Cage of Death XIV against DJ Hyde he won with a Death Valley Driver off the top of the cage through three panes of glass and onto a stage. That is not a healthy thing to do. Matt Tremont is a man who lives his career on the edge and whether that’s a good thing or not, only he can decide.
