10 Wrestlers Who Barely Sold Finishing Moves
1. Hulk Hogan Refuses To Rest In Peace After A Tombstone
In terms of hardly selling an opponent's best shots, has there ever been a more consistent performer than 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan?
Throughout his legendary career, Hogan would famously take a string of punches to the face from whoever he was facing at the time and brush them off during his crowd-pleasing 'Hulking-Up' sequences. Now, a few punches to the face were innocent enough, but Hogan wasn't above completely laughing off a rival's finishing move either.
Long before he'd established himself as arguably the greatest performer and character in WWE history, The Undertaker challenged 'The Hulkster' for his belt at Survivor Series 1991. Though 'The Deadman' would later walk out of the building as the new Champion, Hogan was also determined to exit the contest looking as strong as ever in defeat.
So, the wrestling megastar decided to take the now-iconic tombstone piledriver in quite a unique way. Instead of lying prone on the ground for a believable amount of time after taking such a devastating move, Hogan darted back up and started to attack the paranormal figure.
The crowd understandably erupted, but it did - for a minute at least - unfortunately look like we were about to see this fledgling character irreparably damaged and frustratingly fed to the almighty Hogan. Thankfully, Ric Flair brought a chair down to the ring and a second tombstone onto the weapon got the job done for the 'Demon of Death Valley'.
Even the great Hulk Hogan has no choice but to sell that kind of conclusion, folks.
