10 Wrestlers Who Became Successful After Getting Repackaged

8. Ryback

Ryan Reeves was a big guy in WWE€™s developmental territories who once appeared on WWE Tough Enough. While in NXT, he was stuck with the €˜Skip Sheffield€™ gimmick, which included one of the most unusual catchphrases ever: €˜Yup, yup, yup, what it do€™. But that didn€™t convince anyone that he would be a big star, neither did his involvement with the Nexus. After spending a long time rehabbing a broken angle, WWE finally found something that worked for Mr. Reeves: the Ryback character. Initially a soft-spoken Bill Goldberg-like character, Ryback was a monster that steamrolled through his opponents with little difficulty. Soon afterwards, they started giving him nicknames and catchphrases based on food, including his signature catchphrase, €˜Feed Me More€™. Though Ryback has yet to capture a title in WWE, he has certainly gotten much more attention with this character. On many occasions, his €˜Feed Me More€™ chants have reached near-deafening noise levels, meaning that fans are genuinely interested in him. Despite a setback throughout 2013 and 2014, especially during his teaming with Curtis Axel, it is possible that things could only go up for Ryback from here.
