Pierre Carl Ouellet might have enjoyed his best years at the very tail end of his career as an indestructible glutton for punishment, but they could have came a whole hell of a lot earlier had it not been for the predictable intervention of, yes, you guessed it, the Kliq.

Admittedly probably not, given his WWE singles run saw him dossing about as an actual pirate following the dissolution of the Quebecers, but nevertheless, any chance of Ouellet's deserving talent accomplishing greater things were squashed beneath the big legs of the Kliq's biggest man.

At a September 1995 house show in his hometown of Montreal, Ouellet was booked to go to a non-finish with WWE Champ Diesel, enabling a money-spinning rematch down the line. And that's what happened - but not before Shawn Michaels politicked to have the finish changed to a clean Diesel win. Ouellet simply refused to comply, and instead forced a double-countout.

And that was more or less the end of his WWE career. What little push he had ended, and the lucrative rematch was nixed. He left the company soon after.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
