Although he later repented the statement, putting his outburst down to the raw emotions of losing one's job, former Prime Time Players manager Abraham Washington initially placed the blame for his WWE firing on Linda McMahon and her campaign to become Connecticut State Senator.

As Linda was making her political tilt in August 2012, WWE began clamping down on controversial content within their product, in a bid to ensure her opponents had as little ammunition for smears as possible. It was around this time Washington made an extremely ill-judged on-air quip regarding Kobe Bryant's impending rape case.

11 days later, he was sent his P45. Outraged, he then took to Twitter to blame his dismissal on Linda's campaign, writing: "Creates jobs my ass! I'm fired thanks to you and your campaign." His tirade continued, with a slew of jokes and imprecations aimed at the political hopeful, several unprintable.

Deep down, Washington knew the mistake had been his own, and seven years after his firing, told Wrestling Inc. that he regretted his comments, saying, "I've since apologised to WWE and I've put it all behind me." Linda, for her part, is still not making jobs as part of the Trump administration.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
