10 Wrestlers Who Broke The Muta Scale
5. Mass Transit
Again - "Wrestler" is a stretch. Erik "Mass Transit" Kulas was not a trained professional wrestler, though he somehow worked his way into a spot as one, replacing Axl Rotten on an ECW house show that has entered the darkest annals of an already pitch-black industry.
It was Kulas' inexperience of wrestling etiquette, as much as his nonexistent mechanics, that was his undoing; he rubbed the boys the wrong way with his over-enthusiasm-slash-arrogance. With his parents in the crowd, he wanted to put on a show they would not soon forget. He also told New Jack that he wanted to get colour. This double drop of irony manifested as a police enquiry in the guise of a wrestling match; Jack, with the aid of a surgical scalpel, sliced Kulas open skull - not skin - deep. As Kid Kash (rather too gleefully) has it, Kulas, upon realising the grim gravity of his situation, let out a high-pitched squeal. The wannabe wrestler was reduced to the child his state recognised him as.
Kulas broke the Muta scale, and New Jack broke the in-ring code by punishing Kulas' own transgression with too much zeal. Mercifully, the only existing footage is comprised of slow pixelated blurs and still images.
The viewer cannot be similarly broken through its mostly hidden horror.
