Being the worst wrestler in a faction that includes Earthquake, Kurrgan and the Insane Clown Posse is no small feat, but that is exactly what Giant Silva was as part of the Oddities in the Attitude Era. He also happened to be the tallest, and is widely regarded as being the 6th tallest professional wrestler in history.

This height stood him in good stead before his pro graps career began, as the man born Paulo Cesar de Silva represented his home nation of Brazil in the grand sport of basketball. Silva did so well as to take part in the prelims for the 1988 Summer Games in Seoul, playing as a center.

Silva would also have a brief excursion into MMA in the early 2000s, although he lost most of his matches.

Giant Silva had a grand total of one singles match in what was then the World Wrestling Federation. defeating the legendary JR Ryder at a show called WWF Super Astros in December 1998.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
