Currently enjoying the best run of his career and set to headline the Tokyo Dome on January 4 to challenge Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP heavyweight championship, Kenny Omega may need some serious persuading to make the move to WWE in 2017.

Proving himself to be one of the absolute elite in-ring workers in 2016, his role as the new leader of the Bullet Club has also allowed Omega to show off even more of his over-the-top personality. In 2016, Kenny Omega is the total package and WWE would be mad if they didn't have their eye on him.

On the one hand, the success of AJ Styles in WWE this year has shown how quickly talented gaijin from Japan can get over in Vinny Mac's company, with their sheer talent shining through. On the other hand, however, New Japan bookers Gedo and Jado will protect their top talent vehemently now following the losses of Styles, Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in one fell swoop in early 2016.

After the amount of stock NJPW have put into Omega in 2016, it seems highly unlikely that he would be permitted to leave to seek opportunities elsewhere. There's no doubt though that if he did make the move to WWE, Omega could be a huge star.
