10 Wrestlers Who Couldn't Hide Their Anger At A Botch

9. Trish Stratus Snarls At Jackie Gayda

Here we find Trish Stratus kicking the cat.

She was paired, in an infamous 2002 match, with greenhorn Tough Enough contestant Jackie Gayda. Gayda, to put it euphemistically, did not know how to work. This was an aberration at the time, but were a performer of Gayda's experience to emerge within the WWE system in 2022, she'd appear on NXT 2.0 complete with a princess gimmick and begin a romantic storyline with NXT's resident farm boy, who she'd end up 69ing in the middle of the ring.

But WWE in 2002 very rarely allowed wrestlers who couldn't wrestle on television - because they could not wrestle - which resulted in quite the experience. It was so poor that after Gayda, who wasn't really at fault, bumped for a bulldog so late it was as if Trish had attempted it in 1995, Jim Ross muttered "And mercifully, it's over".

The match had fallen apart entirely well before then. When Gayda just stood still in a panic, causing Trish to almost back body drop herself, Gayda made an ill-advised attempt to make it look like Stratus had f*cked up and set about working the knee. A furious Stratus dragged Gayda to the ropes and gave her a rollicking.

It wasn't clear what she said, precisely, but perhaps she had a passive aggressive dig at big Johnny Laurinaitis.

"Don't work me over, you lanky dipsh*t!"
