Speaking of female "fans" emerging from the crowd to have their heads shaved...

Almost a full decade before AEW audiences met Mel, WWE audiences met Serena Deeb.

The current NWA Women's World Champion was sat at ringside during the 22 January 2010 edition of SmackDown, where she was particularly taken by a Mr. CM Punk and his Straight Edge Society.

Serena liked the cut of their boozeless jib and hopped the barricade to join the group. In order to prove her loyalty to the Society, Serena's head was shaved, giving her a distinctive look that is still memorable to many WWE fans.

Sadly, this iconic debut was about as good as it got for Serena. The Straight Edge Society was never given the main event run it deserved and Serena only got to take part in one actual match on TV - a mixed tag bout pitting her and Luke Gallows against The Big Show and Kelly Kelly.

It's hard to feel too sorry for Deeb, though. She later took part in the first Mae Young Classic, joined AEW, and is holding one of the most prestigious Women's Championships in the world.

Also, her hair grew back.

Hooray!
