William Regal is wrestling royalty in more than just gimmick. Like the first entry on this list, this star was instrumental not only to the British wrestling scene, but also to the UK's integration in WCW and WWE. However, he went one step further from Finlay by becoming the managerial face of NXT. While Finlay is still an active hand in the company, he pales in comparison to the high-status position of Regal.

Further than just being a success story, rising from the streets of Blackpool to a respected position in the industry, the legendary performer is also a complex man, with battles against addiction and a tonne of storytelling potential in his multiple suspensions and stints in rehab.

The perfect choice for this leading character would have to be that of Sean Bean. The first notable reason is the striking resemblance the two share. Additionally, both performers reside from the North of England.

Despite his working class roots, Regal was presented with a sense of stereotypical grandeur of the British upper-class in WWE. Bean is a heavily accented performer who can still play up to elegance and sophistication. He would therefore do a great job of keeping Regal's Blackpool sensibilities whilst still attaining a posher persona.
