10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Gimmicks

Hugger off...

Rusev Aiden English

If anyone needs an example of what one simple gimmick tweak can do for someone's fortunes in WWE, just look at Rusev.

No, he's not going to be WWE Champion with these "Rusev Day" hijinks, and no, it doesn't explain why SmackDown's writers failed to find a spot for him as a serious heel, but Rusev is visibly having fun again. Best of all, his character change has given Aiden English (someone who was struggling just as much as Rusev) something to do too.

There's no good reason why WWE shouldn't try the same thing with others on the roster who are in dire need of something - anything - that will either make them relevant again or save a career that's tanking harder than a 20-minute Roman Reigns promo.

Come on, WWE. It's time to put some thought in and start coming through for the talent on your books. Otherwise, us poor fans will continue to snore our way through their segments. If you don't care, then why should your audience?
