10 Wrestlers Who DESPERATELY Need Something New In 2026
8. Jay White & The Bang Bang Gang
Jay White spent the majority of 2025 sitting on the shelf from injuries which still have him out of action. There's no telling when he'll be back, but when he does return to AEW, it will do him no justice to just resume his prior activities and pick up where he left off.
His 2024 includes holding both the AEW World Trios Championship and the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship, along with two wins over "Hangman" Adam Page, but he was still supplemental on the roster. None of that actually amounted to a significant jump up on the hierarchy toward a world title, or even a midcard championship.
If the intention is for Switchblade to be in the "jobber to the stars" upper-midcard role and nothing more, then staying stagnant there is fine. But if he's going to be the main event caliber talent he's proven himself to be, something has to change.
The Gunns and Juice Robinson aren't currently "cool" enough to be super over babyfaces to the level they need to be and they aren't threatening as heels. White leading them won't change that. They'll just keep spinning their wheels, directionless.
