10 Wrestlers Who Do The Same Spot EVERY TIME They Wrestle Each Other
8. Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage - The Reviving Elbow
It was once the most audacious way for Hulk Hogan to make the comeback he always would against every top heel. As WWE's top babyface and unstoppable Champion, Hogan would absorb every bit of punishment up to and including their finisher. And then, he'd pop up and pop the crowd.
The foolish villain hadn't reckoned on the power of Hulkamania, and from seemingly being seconds away from beating the unbeatable, they'd be looking at the lights underneath a leg drop.
It was both well-worn and well-loved, but against longtime rival-turned-friend-turned-rival-turned-friend-turned-rival-turned-etc Randy Savage, 'The Hulkster's back-from-the-dead took on even greater meaning.
Savage's elbow beat everybody until it came up against Hogan, who rose to his feet in spite of the theoretical deathblow. But Randy remembered this, and during a tag team match in WCW at Clash Of The Champions XXX, he made it work for him. Hogan was out for the count via The Butcher's sleeper, until Savage nailed the elbow on his own partner Hogan to revive him completely.
The Macho Man looked like the smartest guy in wrestling, even if the spot itself required wrestling itself to be the dumbest thing around just to make it work.
