5. Undertaker & Yokozuna - The Steel Steps Death Stare

If only this feud drew money.

Then, with conviction and earnest enthusiasm, it could be subjectively and objectively praised for being as brilliant as it was.

The reality of Yokozuna and The Undertaker's chemistry is that no match - casket or otherwise - could convince enough fans to part with their money to buy pay-per-views or tickets to shows on the back of it. It didn't turn the territory around when the organisation desperately needed something to, but the Bostonians in attendance for the 1993 Survivor Series certainly made a believer in everybody who watched at home.

When Undertaker no-sold an assault the floor with a cold hard glare towards the then-WWE Champion, the place came unglued. An unstoppable monster was frozen in his tracks, frozen in fear and frozen in time, and there was nothing he could do about it. That they even came together in an elimination tag match was inspired. A way to promote such a thing without actively pushing it until the right moment.

On that night, 'The Deadman' was a member of a team captained by Lex Luger. By the end of the show, he was yet another babyface that had breezed beyond the flag-waving bus-dweller in the hearts and minds of the audience.
