10 Wrestlers Who Drew The Wrong Kind Of Heel Heat

7. Jeff Jarrett

Jeff Jarrett recently scored one of WWE's most unlikely comebacks, starting with his Hall Of Fame induction, continuing with his Royal Rumble appearance, and peaking with last week's news that he's back on the creative team. Not bad for a man who once extorted Vince for $300,000 (allegedly).

He has become a nostalgic WWE novelty, but his TNA career inspires less devotion. As one of the promotion’s founders, Jarrett made himself a six-time Heavyweight Champion throughout his run, making him one of the promotion's foremost spotlight-hoggers.

Jarrett was absolutely loathed by the fans throughout TNA’s formative period, and not in a good way. He completely dominated the company’s main event, holding the belt for the best part of three years over multiple reigns, and even when he dropped it, it was never for long. Jarrett lost the title only to win it back on the very next show on two separate occasions, and never drifted from the spotlight.

TNA was his sandbox, and he did as he pleased. The fans saw right through this, however, and he was soon branded 'Triple J.' By 2006, Jeff’s every appearance was met by chants of “drop the title!” and “f*** you Jarrett."
