10 Wrestlers Who Entered The Royal Rumble With Multiple Gimmicks
5. Prince Albert/Albert/A-Train/Tensai
He may be the current head trainer at NXT, but Matt Bloom will probably go down in history as the worst Royal Rumble performer in history.
Bloom has used four different names in the Royal Rumble, over six matches, but has never managed to eliminate a single soul from it. A physical presence for sure, but he was never anything more than that.
His first Rumble came as Prince Albert in 2000, where the man with the hairy back lasted eleven minutes before being dumped over the top rope by Kane. That same man eliminated him in 2001, although by then Albert had lost the 'Prince' aspect of his moniker. By 2002 Albert was the hip-hop-hippo, but this only led to him lasting less than a minute in the Rumble before being dumped by Christian and Chuck.
The trend continued in 2003, as the now-A Train lasted a solid eleven minutes - but didn't eliminate anyone at all - with Kane once again ridding the match of his presence. 2004 winner Chris Benoit eliminated A-Train that year, one minute and forty-four seconds after he had entered the match.
There was a nine year gap before Bloom returned to the Royal Rumble, after a great run in Japan as Giant Bernard. Bloom returned to WWE as Lord Tensai, although the Lord part was dropped by the time the Rumble came around. It didn't matter, as Tensai lasted five and a half minutes without eliminating anyone - before being dumped over the top by Kofi Kingston.
