10 Wrestlers Who Foreshadowed Everything
8. Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes foretold of All Elite Wrestling and everything else he wanted to offer wrestling long before he was in a position to do it.
AEW (or at least the very need for it) was all over this linked interview between Stardust and Eden Stiles, and for other reasons beyond the fact that The Rhodes' are both in it before they eventually departed the company and turned a Twitter list into everything else it became.
Cody speaks here as a man that knows he's doomed as long as he sticks around, and speaks directly about his brother Goldust in both a desperate attempt to make a WrestleMania match between the two and a reality check for the audience who think he stands a chance of reaching his sibling's level as long as he works for Vince McMahon.
He calls for the end of the Attitude Era, for the end of "old men walking, young men dying", and stops just short of smashing his sh*tty spaceman gimmick to pieces with a hammer in front of the watching world. He'd have to wait a little longer to get that one out of his system.
