10 Wrestlers Who Found Out WWE Wasn't The Promised Land

7. The Steiner Brothers

One of the hottest and most accomplished tag-teams in the wrestling world, The Steiner Brothers never really wanted to leave WCW. According to Scott Steiner during a recent Q&A appearance, the brothers would have been happy to stay with the company had the money been right.

It wasn't, but they found out first hand that the WWF wasn't exactly thriving in that regard either. Joining in late-1992, the Steiners were a different kind of team to many others in the company. Excellent inside the ring but lacking a definable gimmick, they never really acclimatised to the WWF, with Scott claiming he and his brother Rick also hated the heavy touring schedule.

Leaving in 1994, The Steiner Brothers didn't really enjoy their time in Vince McMahon's juggernaut. They did win the WWF Tag-Team Titles twice, but they were obviously a much better fit for the WCW style.

Years later, Scott would have another negative experience in WWE. Not gelling with Triple H, he also hated the politics rife in the promotion. For The Steiners, WCW was much more of a home.
