10 Wrestlers Who Go Back Further Than You Think
5. Ricky Starks
A current favourite of the YouTube algorithm, "Ryback puts an arena worker through a table" has been seen a whopping 2,000,000 times in the seven years it's been online. If only back then WWE knew what a worker they had taking the tumble.
Countless comments highlight how Starks' vibrant appearances on Dynamite brought them to the old clip of 'The Big Guy' planting the Team Taz man through a table after a non-altercation in catering. Retrospective bias perhaps, but Starks certainly offers murmurs of the magnetic qualities that would draw comparisons to The Rock years later.
Oddly enough, it's not even the first time one of these skits has sent the Reddit detectives on an adventure. Just over a fortnight later, Ryback was back on his bullying bullsh*t, with referee and former death match legend Drake (Younger) Wuertz as the no-name backstage extra in the firing line. He'd officially sign with the group four months later, but Starks had no such luck.
