10 Wrestlers Who Got Into Phenomenal Shape

8. Big Show

Big Show's entire career was never based on his physique, but more his sheer size.

As a genuine giant among men, he stood out, which gave him the platform to have a career that has spanned three decades and accumulated a multitude of championships along the way. The man has never been more than okay in the ring, but he got the fundamentals down and was a hell of a star in front of the fans. Throughout it all, however, he has struggled with his weight.

Less than a year after signing for the company in 1998, the real-life Paul Wight was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling to sharpen his in-ring skills and to lose weight. This would be a constant stick that the giant was beaten with throughout his career, and there were times, particularly around the ill-judged ECW Championship run, when the World's Largest Athlete was clearly out of shape.

In his later career, Big Show finally found the missing formula, and got himself into unbelievable shape not only for a man of his size, but also of his age. Looking leaner, healthier and more shredded than ever, Show was angling for a match with NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal at WrestleMania 33, which never materialised. At least he got himself nice and healthy.

Maybe, if they can find Shaq's magical ambulance, AEW can run it back at their next PPV.
