10 Wrestlers Who Had No Business Being Inside Hell In A Cell

2. Ted DiBiase

In Cody Rhodes' defense, at least he scored success as a singles performer after his 2009 Hell in a Cell affair with D-Generation X. He didn't seek the benefits immediately afterward, but he made a name for himself that night and went on to solidify himself as a star on the rise in the years that followed. Although Ted DiBiase's spot in the match was justified at the time, that was the last push of any kind DiBiase received in WWE. He was irrelevant for the remainder of his stint with The Legacy before branching off into singles competition and failing to get over with the audience. It was widely believed he was destined for big things soon after his WWE debut, but he never surfaced as a star. He had a decent showing in his premier Hell in a Cell match, but considering his opponents were two of the greatest cell competitors of all-time, he had no business being in the ring with them. When DiBiase left the company on his own terms in the summer of 2013, the average viewer would have never guessed he once stepped foot inside Satan's Structure given how far he had fallen in such a short period of time.
