10 Wrestlers Who Had No Business Being Inside Hell In A Cell
7. Ryback
Originally at 2012's Hell in a Cell event, John Cena was scheduled to go one-on-one with then-WWE champion CM Punk, but due to an injury sustained at Night of Champions, he was deemed unable to compete. WWE rushed to find a replacement before settling on Ryback, who at that time was squashing enhancement talent and working his way up the card. Although they agressively pushed him toward the main event scene in a matter of a month, the fans rallied behind Ryback and were anxious to see him take the title from Punk. Ultimately, he was unsuccessful in capturing the prestigious prize and saw his undefeated streak snapped as a result, but they wouldn't have run into that problem had they not put them inside the cell. It ruined any momentum Ryback had going, and worse yet, it was foolish to think he belonged in there to begin with. It was all downhill from there for The Big Guy, but that didn't stop WWE from putting him in another Hell in a Cell match the next year, also against Punk. The match was more about Punk's long running rivalry with Paul Heyman than it was his beef with Ryback, as Punk defeated his rival in decisive fashion within mere minutes in what was one of the worst Hell in a Cell matches of all-time.
