5. Booker T - CM Punk's WWE (Backstage) Return
It may not have been the long awaited WWE return we'd been hoping for, but CM Punk suddenly strutting out to the sound of Cult of Personality in the closing stages of a November episode of WWE Backstage was enough to light a truly stunned internet on fire for a spell.
But it wasn't just a shock to those watching FS1 from the comfort of their own homes, as it goes. Frequent WWE Backstage pundit and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T later revealed on his Hall of Fame podcast, "I didn’t know CM Punk was in the building, I didn’t know anything about this."
One look at Book, Samoa Joe, Paige, and Adam Cole's legitimately dumbstruck mugs all but confirmed this to be the case on the day itself, but the former World Heavyweight Champion's additional comments reinforced the fact that this surprise was genuinely The Best in the World.
Sure, the culture wasn't changed too much from there on out, but the initial shock of his comeback and subsequent time in the hot seat was at least fun while it lasted.
