Ken Anderson was clearly primed for great things in WWE.

As Mr. Kennedy, he won the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 23 and it was planned that be revealed as Mr. McMahon's illegitimate son as part of an angle.

Sadly, due to a bad combination of Wellness Policy violations, injuries, and a peed-off Randy Orton, Kennedy never reached the mountain top in WWE and was let go in 2009.

However, because he was an ex-WWE talent, Kennedy was snapped up by TNA shortly after, going by his real name "Mr. Anderson".

Despite being involved in the main event scene from pretty much day one, Anderson didn't win the TNA World Championship until January 2011. By this point, he was already past his prime.

Despite becoming world champion twice in TNA and holding gold in various other promotions, Anderson never became the main event talent he could have been.

Anderson should have been given his chance with Money in the Bank, but for whatever reason that never happened. As soon as he lost that briefcase, his momentum was scuppered and he never recovered in any promotion.
