10 Wrestlers Who HATED Hulk Hogan

1. Bret Hart

“Do I like Hulk Hogan? No I don’t. I think he’s a phony piece of sh*t.”

Bret Hart's response when asked his thoughts on The Hulkster tell you all you really need to know, and yet there are so many levels to his distaste for the man who he believes never passed the torch.

When Hart was discussing TNA's product on Twitter and how he would improve it, he had a simple response:-

"I'd have Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff tarred and feathered. Hogan's nothing but a two-faced, backstabbing, steroid freak who deserved everything he got."

Then there's The Hitman's time in WCW; Hart arrived in the company as the hottest thing in wrestling following the Montreal Screwjob. A dream match between the two legends seemed the most obvious conclusion, and yet the powers that be (which Hogan was a part of) decided to continually keep them separate & allow the hype around Hart to dwindle away, which Bret saw as his career being held up to benefit Hulk.

Nevertheless, the issue that personifies Hart's contempt for Hogan surrounds Bret dropping the world title to Yokozuna at WrestleMania IX, only for Hulk to swoop in and defend the honour of his beaten friend by...winning the belt in 22 seconds?!

This bait-and-switch wasn't the catalyst for The Hitman's Hogan hatred, but rather the Hulkster reneging on his promise that he'd return the favour:-

"Hogan was flat-out refusing to put me over, saying I wasn’t in his league."

Hulk Hogan dropped the belt to Yokozuna so it could be transitioned back onto Hart rather than doing the job for someone he clearly perceived to be a threat to his spot in the business. It's enough to make anyone hate your guts.
