CM Punk's blasting of AEW's EVPs (both verbally and physically), along with taking aim at Hangman Page, Colt Cabana, and the rest of the "f***ing children" he was working with, post-All Out 2022 hasn't done him that many favours in terms of overall locker room popularity. Fancy that.
Again, Punk likely definitely still has his supporters, with FTR still no doubt flying the CM flag. But as reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter last month, a whole host of top AEW stars, including Chris Jericho, "were saying that they wouldn’t work with him.”
Le Champion would even reportedly go as far as to label the Chick Magnet as a locker room "cancer" in the immediate wake of Brawl Out, too.
This, along with another AEW "top star" openly telling the WON that "his value on screen isn’t one percent worth the hassle and black cloud he causes backstage" all point to a far from certain future for the icon going forward.
That being said, with The Elite recently throwing more than a few Punk hints into the mix on AEW programming lately, maybe the All Elite locker room hasn't actually seen the last of this controversial legend after all...
