10 Wrestlers Who Made Drastic Late Career Changes
2. The Undertaker
It'd be interesting to find out what young kids new to WWE think of The Undertaker. By now, he's an ageing relic who shows up during WrestleMania season and infrequently at other times of the year. Those kids probably look at 'Taker very differently to how those who remember his peak years do.
The Undertaker won't try to update himself again though, not fully. He doesn't need to, and he's nearing the end of an unbelievable career anyway. In 2000, things were a bit different.
Back then, The Undertaker wanted to move on from playing an undead, supernatural force. His new "American Bad Ass" biker character would be key to presenting a living, breathing real person who had relationships, hobbies and friends like everyone else. It was an extreme change to such a well-defined gimmick.
Of course, 'Taker has since returned to his roots as a mysterious, almost mythical power. His run between 2000-2004 has been lost to everyone but those who lived through it and those willing to fire up history on the WWE Network for a look at how brave the man's innovative switch was.
