4. Ric Flair's Stamina Wins Again

As summer 2017 began to sizzle, the brow of the collective wrestling world began to sweat for a different reason, following the news that Ric Flair had been placed in a medically induced coma after experiencing complications during emergency bowel surgery.

Things looked distressingly grim. Flair's health deteriorated rapidly, with consultants offering only a meagre 20% chance that the industry icon would pull through.

Just as everybody was preparing for the worst, wrestling's Mr. Stamina proved he could still go, kicking out at the last moment. The Nature Boy revived from his coma, and was said to be resting up "for the first time in 40 years." Within a week, he was back in a robe (albeit hospital issue), cutting promos on his super-patient nurses.
