10 Wrestlers Who NEED Out Of AEW

3. Ricky Starks

Ricky Starks
AEW

So, this is inevitable right? Ricky Starks didn't exactly burn the whole operation to the ground with a maniacal laugh during his recent interview with WhatCulture's own Andrew Pollard, but he'd have every right to be frustrated with how things have been going in AEW. After all, the talented star has worked just five matches on TV this year.

It's 31 May at time of writing.

Starks has been another victim of the start/stop push trend in All Elite, and that has to change. He's shown he's effective whether heel or babyface, and has even pivoted at the drop of a hat into tag action whenever asked too. That shows how versatile Ricky is, but he's been cycled off telly with pretty much zero explanation.

There's been a ton of chatter amongst fans about Starks joining his pals CM Punk and Cody Rhodes over on the WWE side. That'd be a blessing for Ricky right now, but everything hinges on his AEW contract and how long that deal runs. Once it expires, he's almost-certainly WWE bound.

Calling it now.
