10 Wrestlers Who NEED To Get Out Of WWE

9. Apollo Crews

WWE life has often been a topsy turvy mess for one Apollo Crews.

Every single one of his runs on the main roster has been poisoned by complete apathy (his 2016 debut, in particular) or unwanted hokey gimmick work (that "Nigerian royalty" claim in 2021) that struggled to properly get going before creative lost interest. Now, after a stretch on NXT TV, he's back on Raw.

Triple H's grand plan for him? Working matches against everyone from Akira Tozawa to Riddick Moss on 'C'-tier programming like Main Event that few will pay attention to. Worse, Crews has reverted to a so-so 'happy to be here' kind of persona that's always a chore to watch.

At 35, there's still time for Apollo to make his mark outside WWE. Yes, he's entitled to enjoy the money that comes with his longevity, but WWE life must be so frustrating for someone who once seemed like a can't-miss prospect.
