10 Wrestlers Who Never Competed In A WWE Ladder Match

From The Beast Incarnate to The Animal, all of which reminds me that we never got that Batista vs. Brock Lesnar match that many clamoured for. Their only WWE singles match will forever remain a house show match in 2003 that was won by Lesnar. What could have been, what could have been.

Batista never took part in a ladder match in WWE. He took part in a chairs match, although it still isn't entirely clear what a chairs match is, and somehow put on a pretty good one with The Undertaker in 2009. He took part in two Hell in a Cell matches, seven steel cage matches and one tables match, but never a ladder match.

The Animal took part in three last man standing bouts, a stretcher match and even a gosh darn Punjabi Prison match, but no ladder match. Is this surprising? Maybe not, as Batista was generally around the heavyweight main event scene and therefore not so eligible for Money in the Bank matches and the like.

Even so, John Cena has taken part in five ladder matches in his career, The Undertaker two, Big Show four and Randy Orton six, so had Batista stuck around in 2010 it is inevitable he would have been in one. As it stands, it will always be missing from his resume.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
