10 Wrestlers Who Proved There's Life After WWE

7. Bubba Ray Dudley

Bubba Ray Dudley achieved success about which most of the current crop of WWE tag team competitors can only dream, stealing the show at back-to-back WrestleManias as one sixth of the original TLC cast. But there was one thing missing: singles success.

It was only after the former ECW star headed off to TNA, kicked Devon to the curb - and, not least of all, replaced "Bubba" with "Bully" - that his potential as a main event heel was finally realised (which is putting it mildly: there was a time he was arguably the best bad guy in wrestling).

Partly, this was the classic tale of a big fish in a small pond, but the Impact roster, at the time, wasn't exactly short on potential leading men - and, with the same concerted push, Bully Ray could perhaps have found WWE fame too.
