Back in the 90's, wrestling icons Vader and Yokozuna both found themselves in the unwanted category of "talented performers who needed to drop the pounds in the eyes of Vinnie Mac and the gang", meaning that both men were ultimately carted off to a Weight Loss Clinic to aid them in their quest to literally shape up.

However, things didn't exactly go to plan from the get-go. As Jim Ross detailed during a conversation with POST Wrestling, both men still discovered a way to get around the arduous task of shedding weight. As J.R. put it:

“I remember sending Leon [Vader] and Yokozuna to the Duke Weight Loss Clinic at Duke University in North Carolina. I got the first report and they had only been there a week and they had gained weight. We found out they were sneaking out at night and going to get chicken.”

Yokozuna would actually go on to drop around 100lbs in the end, but that still wasn't enough to get him medically cleared to compete in some states.
