10 Wrestlers Who Refused To Work House Shows
3. Rowdy Roddy Piper Piper, like Hogan, didn't work house shows in WCW. But unlike Hogan, he had a more decent excuse he had accumulated scores of injuries over the course of his long career; specifically, he had very bad knees and a bad hip. He even needed to have a hip replacement surgery near the end of 1995; when he showed up in WCW afterwards, it's no surprise that he wanted to work a light schedule. And even then, it was touch and go he'd fight for a couple of months, recover for three, and repeat So, we're lucky that he even made into the ring to begin with, let alone defeat Hollywood Hogan with his patented sleeper hold. And still, despite having lost a step, his legendary promo skills always remained in tact. Gone, but not forgotten. RIP, Hot Rod.
