10 Wrestlers Who Should Never Have Made WWE Royal Rumble's 'Final 4'

8. X-Pac (2000)

Every single year, the advantages of drawing number 30 in the Royal Rumble are thrown forward by the announcers. The last man to enter has a clear advantage over the other 29 competitors, the luckiest of lucky draws in a match that needs a whole lot of luck. Of course, the fact that The Warlord, Adam Bomb, Duke Droese, and Tugboat drew that number and did a whole lot of nothing is rarely brought up.

In 2000, the luckiest draw on offer almost came through X-Pac. Sean Waltman gets a whole heap of criticism, but the guy was a fairly valuable member of the WWF midcard back in the Attitude Era. Was he one of the four top contenders for a WrestleMania main event though? The WrestleMania 2000 closer had four men in it, an none of those men were X-Pac.

Pac even had the rub of a missed elimination, before vanquishing Kane with a spinning heel kick. He wouldn't last much longer however, getting press-slammed out by eventual runner-up, Big Show. That means that X-Pac managed to get eliminated twice in just three and a half minutes.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
