10 Wrestlers Who Still Believe In Kayfabe
7. Pac
Pac lives up to his ‘Bastard’ persona in and out of the ring. The former Neville gives very little away about his real life on social media, often using it solely to promote his matches on AEW and elsewhere, all in character as the villainously vicious Pac.
Little is known about the Newcastle native outside of wrestling, something he enjoys. It makes fans easier to get behind his savage heel persona who lacks empathy and enjoys inflicting damage on his opponents. When he had to do press for NXT/WWE as Neville he always appeared off or/and anxious when giving interviews. He was able to rectify that after signing with AEW where he continuously rejects to give interviews, believing fans having distance away from who he is in his day-to-day life enhances his role as the self-proclaimed ‘Bastard’.
PAC seemingly enjoys a sense of mystery. After he quit WWE in October 2017, he didn’t let anyone from fans to journalists to colleagues know of his intentions after his contract expired. For a whole year he let fans keep guessing his whereabouts and whether he would even return to wrestling before surprising Dragon Gate fans with a run-in in October 2018. The same applied for when he had to take an eight-month absence from AEW television due to COVID restrictions in 2020.
