Very much living up to his One of a Kind moniker inside and outside of the squared-circle, Rob Van Dam wasn't all that keen on taking advice from his colleagues during his first stint as part of the biggest wrestling promotion on the planet; Triple H included.
In fact, when faced with The Game offering Mr. Monday Night a bit of promo assistance back in the early 2000's, RVD eventually recalled outright refusing Trips' help and even thinking "Man, f*** him."
This call to not take up residence under The Cerebral Assassin's wing likely didn't do The Whole F'n Show any favours in terms of his all round push, mind, with Van Dam himself admitting how his turning down of promo guidance from the former World Champion probably impacted the way he was viewed in the company.
And while he may not have realised "it was that significant of a thing" in the moment, one does have to wonder what could have become of the ECW Original's initial WWE push had he opted to play Trips' little game for a spell...
