10 Wrestlers Who Went Through Hell To Win (And Lost Anyway)

9. GUNTHER And Liv Morgan Outlast Everyone But One (Royal Rumble 2023)

Heading into arguably the most tiring encounter of the year as one of the first two entrants is about as unenviable a position as one could find themselves in on the night of the Royal Rumble.

However, in the case of Liv Morgan and GUNTHER at this year's over-the-top-rope spectacular, being among the first pair to enter their respective matches seemed to ignite a fire within them that continued to burn for far longer than anyone expected.

Picking up eight eliminations between them and clocking a grand total of 2 hours and 12 minutes in between the ropes over the course of their gruelling attempts to earn a WrestleMania main event spot, both durable and resilient warriors gave absolutely everything they had on the night and more.

Take your pick between what would've been a more painful pill to swallow after outlasting every single star to set foot in the contest but one: Getting bested by the last entrant into the madness. Or the person who kicked off the multi-person epic alongside you.

Either way, both GUNTHER and Morgan, after entering at #1 and #2, respectively, were no doubt in need of a serious lie down after going bell-to-bell in the 30-person war and still not winning the big one.
