10 Wrestlers Who Went To War With Vince McMahon

1. Ultimate Warrior

Vince McMahon Bret Hart
WWE

It's a damn shame that the one autonomous main event talent with the balls to seriously challenge Vince McMahon's pay structure was a legendary flake outed later in life as an irredeemable piece of sh*t.

The Ultimate Warrior was that Onion headline come to life; Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made A Great Point.

But viewed through the lens of his revolting character, combined with the technically inaccurate claim that he was worth as much to the WWF as more popular, enduring draw Hulk Hogan, Warrior's SummerSlam '91 extortion resonated as decidedly less than a win for the worker.

Warrior and Vince clashed again, in 1996, over a kerfuffle over Warrior's trademarked 'Always Believe' slogan, which is sort of boring honest mistake territory in an otherwise fascinating story, but wonderfully, they clashed also over Warrior's incredibly problematic comic book. Warrior demanded the WWF purchase 100,000 copies of it per month, possibly because he could have done with the space in his garage and couldn't be arsed to pulp them, the lazy sh*te.

Who won?

Both men kicked out at 3.1.
