10 Wrestlers Who Went To War With Vince McMahon

5. Several Of Them All At Once

Several more former contractors from Raven's era banded together to take Vince down in the federal court, and like most sequels, the narrative followed a familiar pattern:

Seemingly worthwhile cause is taken up (WWE's complicity in CTE).

Case is dismissed.

Some 60 pro wrestlers made up the suit, litigated by Konstantine Kyros, and attempt to persuade the court that WWE had failed to prevent the brain damage they had suffered through their time performing in the squared circle. Every account one reads of Kyros portrays him as a sort of hilarious Lionel Hutz-esque figure, and he was criticised strongly here for his failure to comply with court rules. The case was dismissed as frivolous, and because in many cases the statutes of limitation had expired. Kyros expressed an intention to appeal - claiming that the respective ailments of dementia and CTE were diagnosed years after their retirement or death - and the matter remains in the spatty bowels of the system, doomed never to resurface back to the news cycle.

It was successfully argued that the WWF wasn't the sole company to which every claimant was contracted, absolving the Fed, concrete ring and all, of responsibility.
