10 Wrestlers Who Were REJECTED For Famous Wrestling Gimmicks

2. Daniel Garcia

MJF Demon
AEW

As of this writing, Daniel Garcia is firmly entrenched within the Jericho Appreciation Society and standing arm-in-arm with Sports Entertainers as Ring Of Honor Pure Champion, despite briefly flirting with joining the Blackpool Combat Club and even teaming with BCC founder member Bryan Danielson against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara before pledging his loyalty back to 'The Wizard' and friends.

That's not to say he couldn't end up back alongside his favourite wrestler in the end, and that's allegedly where he was supposed to be from the beginning until Jericho stepped him to claim him for the other side of the philosophical divide.

As the Wrestling Observer had it at the time;

"Chris Jericho personally picked Garcia to join the Jericho Appreciation Society," negating his inclusion in the BCC."

This explained - along with eventual narrative developments - why Garcia was name checked by Bryan and Jon Moxley during the promo battles that ultimately birthed the William Regal-led group.
