Who is going to be top of AEW when the US goes to the polls in four years?

Recently, we here at WhatCulture published an article entitled ‘10 Wrestlers Who Will Be WWE Champion Before The Next US Election’, and just like it said, Trump has been future endeavored and been dethroned by Joe Biden. An excellent point was made in just like America moves on, so does the wrestling world. We as wrestling fans, as well as being world citizens, need to look to what comes next within the next four years.

However, like every good election, there needs to be (at least) two parties involved, and for the next four years, much like the Democrats and the Republicans, AEW and WWE will do battle. We have looked at WWE’s future, so like all good democracies, let us look to the other side.

The land of the All Elite has a roster that is chock full of wrestlers that will one day be amongst some of the biggest names in professional wrestling. For many of them, it is only a matter of time before they are skyrocketed up the card and gain the privilege of holding the company’s greatest prize. But which of them will have the honor of gaining that privilege before 2024?

10. Darby Allin

No matter what anybody says, Darby Allin is a star in the making. Despite his small stature, the man has a look unlike any other in the business. He also has the ability to engage fans to an extreme amount, to the point that it wouldn’t be exaggerating to say that he is one of the most over babyfaces in the business right now.

Darby is currently the TNT Champion, and it appears as though he will be the division’s ace for the next while. Cody has fully passed the torch on and the ‘Invisible Man’ will be the one to lead the workhorse division into the new year and beyond.

He will for sure be skyrocketed up the card, whenever the time comes for his transition into the World Title scene. If anything, his current title reign will act as an opportunity to prove himself to the right people, prove that he can indeed carry the weight of a whole division on his shoulders. If successful, which he most likely will be, AEW will see him fit to hold the top prize. When he does finally win the big one, expect it to be a highly dramatic babyface triumph, potentially over a mega-heel Cody Rhodes, which would be a nice continuation of their storied rivalry.
